Cognitive Behavioural Therapy involves the Active Use of New Skills

CBT is active and requires the client to fully participate and work towards change. As a therapist, Veronica endeavours to impart new skills and information so that clients feel empowered and equipped to manage their lives in the way they chose, and works with clients to implement new ways of perceiving, feeling, and reacting. When therapy is concluded, clients will have the tools, skills, behavioural changes, and information to maintain their psychological wellbeing for the rest of their lives. Veronica’s goal is to help people become their own therapist so that they can live independently, while feeling that they have her support should they ever need additional help in the future. Veronica likes CBT because it is grounded in research and science. In her practice, she only uses evidence-based interventions that are accepted by the medical and psychological communities.
